We're planning on a video blog series for 2010. There are many topics to discuss. Kaddish. Cremation. Keil Maleh. Tachrichim (burial shrouds).
Is there a topic that you think we should cover? Please let us know!

"Green burial" is in the news lately. Our way (since the second century C.E.) is the original green burial. Everything - unembalmed body, casket (when used), takhrikhin, tallit, no concrete vault - is biodegradable. Cremation, by contrast, uses a lot of fossil fuel. The body is 70% water and won't burn well without all that extra help.
